About Jessica

Hey I’m Jess!

I was never someone that was into sport when I was younger, I didn’t enjoy PE, I didn’t do any sports and I didn’t enjoy being active. I had extremely low confidence and didn’t have the confidence to walk into the gym by myself let alone the weights section. Because of this I know what it feels like to start from scratch. Going from someone who has never touched a weight in their life to someone who regularly goes to the gym to lift weights and regularly goes for long walks and hikes and enjoys the outdoors.

My fitness journey began 10 years ago while attempting to live my best life travelling the world. I was in Sydney at the time and had just finished exploring New Zealand for the first time. There are some truly extra ordinary hikes in New Zealand but my physical fitness or lack of meant I couldn’t see every part of them they way I really wanted to. This frustration only compounded when I got to Sydney. I saw active people everywhere, training hard, venturing out into the beautiful landscapes of Oz, eating healthy and really caring for their bodies.

This is the push I needed to join a gym.

After joining, I met the most amazing personal trainer who taught me so much about strength and resistance training. I fell in love with training and feeling strong. Couple that with an innate passion to help others and suddenly I had my own aspirations to become a coach. I want to see your confidence grow just like mine did when I first started out.

Training not only builds you physically but it builds a relationship with yourself and this transfers to all aspects of your life. Get to know who you are. My career goal is to become the best coach I can be so that no matter your fitness level I can help you achieve your goals.

I love that Lift Each Other are so passionate about the mental benefits that come from training. Having worked in mental health myself I have seen how prevalent poor mental health is. Lift Each Other actually has no mirrors and I love this as it means you can focus on your minds connection to your body, how it moves, how it feels and not just how it looks. This is so important in achieving true body confidence. Everything starts in the mind.

  • Hey Jess! Just wanted to say thank you so much for my session today. It’s definitely the strongest I’ve felt and at the weekend I felt way more confident in a bikini! I can feel myself getting better week on week and I can’t believe I’m now using 5kg on my arms!!! Looking forward to the next one X

  • Hey Jess! Just wanted to say that I lovec our sessions and even though I complain LOUDLY throughout the entire thing it’s something that I’ve really started to look forward to! I love that you always encourage me and that even though my brain thinks a bit differently you are always adapting my programme to help and support me meeting my goals! I’ve even started to get grumpy when there’s too many days before our next session 🤣 Can’t wait to continue working on my goals with you!
